There isn’t any official announcement from Apple just yet, but word on the street is that Apple’s iPhone 3G will be available in Indonesia from March 23rd. There will even be a launch event on March 21st, probably to rope in the Apple fans and iPhone fans. In terms of pricing, it won’t come cheap, as the device is rumored to be going for $800-$900 USD, which certainly isn’t simple lunch money.

Pictures of Sony Ericsson’s new MS-410 speakers getting cozy with a W995 have surfaced. Does this hint that we’ll be seeing more and more Sony Ericsson phones with the charging/audio port on the side instead of at the bottom? It would help the phone sit on the MS-410 speakers better in any case.

Fancy that! “Carrying” your boarding pass in your PDA or smartphone! One less item to misplace and lose at the airport!!! You can now, when you fly to most of the European and French domestic destinations offered by AIR FRANCE AND KLM, receive your boarding pass via email, MMS or SMS onto your mobile phone. Save paper, save a tree, it will no longer be necessary to print out the boarding pass. The only paper document you would need for travel would be your personal identification document.
The electronic transmitted boarding pass (into your mobile phone) contains all the information normally displayed on a conventional boarding pass and includes a unique bar code. The bar code will be scanned at the gate, and can also be shown at all security checkpoints, baggage drop-off points, lounges and tax-free shops at the Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam.

Folks who have fiddled around Windows Mobile a bit will know that Windows Mobile 6 is built on the Windows CE 5.0 kernel. A ROM hacker called No2chem has seen fit to fiddle with a HTC Titan and get it to run the Win CE shell, which is has a look and feel similar to that of Windows 95. The method to pulling this trick off hasn’t been released to the public just yet, but judging by reports, it shouldn’t take too long for this to make its way to the general public.

A study by TNS Technology indicates that 74% of all messages globally are sent through a mobile device. This is a significant increase from the initial 59% from a year ago. It seems that more and more folks are opting to get a mobile phone instead of a land line. Will cell phones replace land lines in the future? It certainly looks that way, albeit a little further along the road.
