Nokia’s Mosh, short for Mobile Sharing, is on its last leg. Nokia is planning to close this online site which was created for community sharing and downloading of information for free. The site, which has been in existence for less than two years, has seen over 137 million downloads to date. No final date on the closure has been advised but it is expected to be soon.

BlackBerry Niagara 9630, one of RIM’s unannounced new smartphones, was spotted in two live pictures which confirm its existence, as well as the fact that it’s a bit bigger than the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and a bit smaller than the BlackBerry Bold.
The Niagara 9630 is a CDMA device, so we’re looking at a Verizon / Sprint release for the US and a Bell / Telus one for Canada.
In fact, the smartphone is already said to be launched by Verizon in May, but we’d better wait for an official confirmation on this.
Anyway, here are the pictures, courtesy of CrackBerry:

Feature-wise, BlackBerry 9630 should come with a 480 x 360 pixels display, EV-DO rev A connectivity, A-GPS and a 3.2MP camera.
Well, now there’s nothing left to do than wait for RIM to go official with this new smartphone, right?

The Kogan Agora might not be available at retail stores just yet, but that doesn’t mean that prototype units aren’t in existence. It seems that the folks over at Gizmodo have managed to snag a prototype of the device and the response has been quite good. Of course, it doesn’t offer any explanation as to why Ruslan Kogan decided to delay that handset, but hopefully when it’s finally released, it will have been worth the wait.

It seems that LG just doesn’t want to get from the frontpages with it’s LG Arena KM900 multimedia phone.
Since it fessed up about the existence of LG Arena in a blogpost on Friday, there’s already the third official communication about how cool the new phone is.
This time LG talks about the coolness of it’s new “3D S Class” interface and confirms some additional device specs.
The additional LG KM900 Arena specs include the confirmation of 5 megapixel camera, Dolby Mobile, 8GB of built-in memory and 32GB microSDHC memory card slot. It also reveals the European release date for LG Arena – March 2009.

The new details about 3D S-Class interface include (if my Google Korean is up to the task):

Well, that’s it for now. Let’s see what tomorrow brings us.

Nokia should be fairly familiar with luxury handsets, especially since it has its Vertu line of luxury phones. Of course, that doesn’t mean that every luxury phone coming from Nokia will be under the Vertu brand, as evidenced by the Nokia Royal. You’ll get 8.2 cts of vvs, color ‘F’ diamonds, alongside approximately 1,160 individually set sparkling gems with this device. The main material of the exterior is solid platinum, which is held down by 8 handmade platinum screws. If you need to use up some cash for whatever reason, you could always pop over to the Colette store in Paris on January 31st to pick this up. It certainly won’t come cheap though, as there will only be 50 units of this device in existence.

When RIM first announced the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, it only unveiled the existence of its GSM version, much to the frustration of those who use CDMA networks.
But worry not, because it looks like there is a CDMA Pearl Flip too. Apparently named BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, the smartphone is said to be released soon in Canada, via Telus.
And although there aren’t any official details for the moment, BlackBerrySync says that the CDMA Flip might come as early as February, in two colors: black and pink.
This being said, I won’t be surprised if Verizon and Sprint are planning to release this version of the Flip Pearl too. After all, why should T-Mobile be the only US carrier to offer RIM’s first clamshell smartphone?

The existence of an Asus Eee Phone has been confirmed, by no less than Asus’ chairman Jonney Shih, in a recent interview with the New York Times.
Apparently, the man thinks he can see the future, and what exactly is in store for us all according to his visions? A day when all families don’t crowd around a small screen to watch digital content or see something on the Internet, but sit back and revel in the large view of a big screen in the living room.

But what does an Eee-branded smartphone have to do with all this? Well, how else would you be able to control your new digital devices in the future if you’re laid back so comfortably that you couldn’t even be bothered to get a glass of water if you choked on a fish? By using a remote control device, of course. And Asus’ Shih believes that this remote control device could very well be a phone. An Eee-branded phone that’s designed to work perfectly with their wireless digital offerings.
Things like these aren’t really stuff of the future anymore, but it would still be interesting to see what else the first Asus Eee phone would be able to do, especially if it runs on Android. Also, it should be quite affordable. And that’s never a bad thing.
