It’s just bits and pieces, but some information on an upcoming Samsung touchscreen slider phone have emerged. According to Phonehouse.nl, which is the Dutch version of Carphonewarehouse, the Samsung Louvre will be released on July 2009 and will sport a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA and GPS. The phone pictured here is just a mock up, so don’t take it as the real thing.

Word on the street is that the HTC Magic will be launched in the UK on May 1st, making it the 2nd Android device to go on sale. Users should be able to pick up the device for free if they agree to a £25 contract or higher. Though there aren’t any specific details of data plans, it’s assumed that there will be unlimited data packages being offered to users too. In case it slipped your mind, the HTC Magic will have a 3.2 megapixel camera, capacitive touchscreen, HSDPA, and GPS, albeit lacking the physical QWERTY keyboard like the T-Mobile G1.

LG has just introduced a new clamshell phone in South Korea – the LG SV800 / KH8000 / LH8000.
Also known as LG Lollipop, the handset is obviously targeted at young mobile users, and it comes in three color versions: Cutie Pink, Aqua Blue and “Boyish Titanium”.
On the outside, LG Lollipop has 220 tiny LEDs that can display various patterns – hearts, animals, cars and so on.
The phone looks good, although its design has nothing that we haven’t seen before:

Here are the handset’s main specs:
LG Lollipop should be available in South Korea starting this month, via all major carriers (SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom). No details about its release in other markets.

If this newly-leaked Sprint roadmap is legit, the second largest North American CDMA carrier will have at least 10 new handsets to offer in the upcoming months.
First of all – as expected – it’s said the Palm Pre will be introduced in the second quarter of 2009, thus in April, May or June.
Unsurprisingly, the Pre is targeted at “high-end consumers and business users who need to stay connected to their office and who will benefit from fast EV-DO rev. A data speeds and a full functional device.”

Next, Q2 2009 should also bring the following devices to Sprint:

In the third quarter of 2009, Sprint should release the following handsets:
There’s also the HTC Rhodium on Sprint’s roadmap. This is actually the HTC Touch Pro2 with EV-DO rev. A and HSDPA connectivity. It should be out in Q4 2009. What’s weird is that the Rhodium appears as running on “Windows 7.X”, although Windows Mobile 7 will only be launched in 2010.

Anyway, since for the moment we can’t confirm that all the above-mentioned devices will be indeed launched by Sprint, we can only wait for more official details to come up.

Nokia diehards can expect to hold the long-awaited Nokia E71x (note the classy “x” factor) any day now. Word has it that its design has not evolved much. It is apparently also retaining its Wi-Fi and HSDPA, which is a huge relief. Expect to part between $150 and $200, after rebate. Anything less than $100 might be wishful thinking on our part.

Candybar phones might not be in vogue like slider phones are nowadays, but they still are popular with people. Samsung has stuck to the candybar design with its new S7220 Lucido that has just been announced. The phone features a classy “premium metal” design, 2.2-inch AMOLED display, 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA and 3G for fast Internet connectivity. Additional features of the device include aGPS, FM radio and up to 8GB via expandable storage. The Samsung Lucido can be expected to be available across major networks and retailers in the UK in April, though there isn’t any mention of whether the phone will make it elsewhere. Pricing information isn’t available just yet either.
