It looks like that BlackBerry Gemini we saw last month will not be officially called BlackBerry 9300, but BlackBerry 8325.
A live picture with the Gemini 8325 has just been spotted over at BGR.
Unfortunately, it’s not the best shot around (quality wise), so we can’t see the new smartphone in all its glory.
Anyway, the 8325 looks like a mix between the (now old) Curve 8300 and the new and sleek Curve 8900.

Besides the obvious presence of a full QWERTY keyboard, the rumored features of BlackBerry Gemini 8325 include:
No details yet on when RIM plans to officially announce this new handset, but let’s hope it won’t happen too late.

We first heard about slim candybar Samsung Eltz S7220 more then a month ago, expecting it to be officially launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Well, MWC has come and gone, but Samsung S7220 remained under wraps. Until today, when Samsung has decided to officially announce it in U.K. with a new trade name.
From now own S7220 will be known as Samsung Lucido (meaning “Sleek” in Italian).

Official Samsung Lucido S7220 specs include:
Samsung Lucido will hit the shops in U.K in early April.

The GCF (Global Certification Forum) has recently approved a new HTC handset, called XV6175. And, since the XV code is used by Verizon Wireless for its HTC smartphones, we can only conclude that the new handset will soon be introduced by the giant US carrier.
HTC XV6175 features quad-band GSM connectivity, thus it’s probably a smartphone with support for both GSM and CDMA bands (like the BlackBerry Storm 9530, for example).
This XV6175 could be one of the devices from HTC’s leaked 2009 line-up.
More exactly, it might be HTC Cedar, HTC Whitestone or HTC Twin (all of them are pictured below).

Of course, until Verizon announces the new handset, we can’t know for sure what’s with it, so let’s hope it will be officially unveiled soon.

Asus has just announced the P835, which is a touchscreen device powered by Windows Mobile 6.1. It’s definitely feature-laden as the 3.5-inch display boasts an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, quad-band EDGE and tri-band UMTS. One of the stand-out features (though you probably won’t be using it on a regular basis) is that it can be used as a Wi-Fi access point for up to 10 devices. Would you want to let everybody around you ride you phone’s net connectivity?

Most phones have some rudimentary digital clock built-into it, but the Mobiado 105GMT White Luxury Watchphone means business when they call it a “watchphone”. A quick look at the bottom-end of the cell phone and you’ll notice the mechanical watches located there, showing its strong emphasis on time. There is also 274 carats of sapphire crystal, just to remind you that this is a luxury phone. Features of the device include:
Quad-band GSM/EDGE and WCDMA 850/2100 connectivity
1GB internal memory
2 megapixel camera with video capture capability

A North American version of the brand new HTC Touch Cruise (also known as HTC Touch Cruise with Footprints or HTC Touch Cruise 09) was recently approved by the FCC, meaning that we might see it soon on sale in the US.
The NAM Touch Cruise comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz). This makes it suitable for a release via AT&T – but, of course, it doesn’t mean the carrier will actually want to bring the handset into its family of products.
According to its user manual, the Touch Cruise is sold together with a 1GB microSD card that includes “map content for bundled GPS software”, which is, obviously, a good thing.

As for the rest of Cruise’s specs and features, you can view them here.
The smartphone’s European version (with 900 / 2100 HSDPA) will be available for purchase starting this spring, at a price that was not announced yet.

While MWC 2009 is just within reach, Sony Ericsson has decided to lift the lid on its C901 Cyber-shot phone. In terms of specifications, it’s basically similar to the C903, albeit lacking the TV-out and A-GPS functions. Features of the C901 include quad-band GSM, dual-band HSPA, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and xenon flash, FM radio and Bluetooth. The C901 Cyber-shot should be shipping in Q2 of 2009 in Noble Black, Precious Peach, or Sincere Silver. There isn’t any official word on the device’s pricing just yet, but it’s only a matter of time before that information is freely available.

Dreaming about a new BlackBerry? Well, there are rumors going around about a “BlackBerry Gemini”. Of course, there isn’t any official confirmation on this issue just yet, but it seems that the working model number is 9300, which would hint that it’s a 3G handset. Some of the rumored details of the device include:
Larger and higher resolution screen than BlackBerry 8900
Faster CPU
Device will be available in silver color
Keyboard is a little more rounded than the BlackBerry 8900
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA
