A leaked picture of the upcoming LG Xenon has appeared online, and it’s blurry, which is almost customary, if not mandatory. The device is rumored to hit AT&T’s network when it’s released. The rumored date is April 9th, so we’ve only got a short wait to confirm that. The OS of the device is said to be fairly similar with Samsung’s TouchWIZ, as it will rely heavily on Widgets. Features of the device include:
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
Dual-band UMTS/HSDPA (850MHz/2100MHz)
950 mAh battery
240 × 480 2.8-inch LCD display
3 megapixel camera
VGA camera for video calls
microSD memory card slot
100MB internal memory
Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity
EMP U330 Lite chipset

A new Samsung Betty Boop mobile phone has appeared online, and considering that Samsung has previously released a Samsung Tobi, which was targeted at kids, this phone shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. This slider handset is a limited-edition model, and has the signature and theme of the famous cartoon character. The Samsung Betty Boop will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE, VGA camera, MMS, MP3 music playback, FM radio and also a microSD memory card expansion. The phone will be going for €129, though you’ll be able to pick it up from Bouygues Telecom for €1 if you commit yourself to a 2-year contract.

We are loving what the rumor mill has been cranking out lately. The latest biggie may give American gadget junkies a reason to make the switch over to T-Mobile in just a couple months.
The HTC Touch Pro2, introduced to us last month at MWC, was shown off by a user at XDA Developers with a T-Mobile Branded ROM. Not sure how this person got their hands on it, but it appears genuine. This phone stacked with all the goodies is rumored for release in May.
We already knew the Pro2 was set for release in America but naturally assumed it would be found on AT&T’s network first, given that it featured some 3G frequencies normally reserved for AT&T. If released on T-Mobile first, it doesn’t necessarily mean AT&T is out of luck, but probably won’t get it for a while.

According to the source, here are some of the features we can expect from the Touch Pro2:
Word also has it that Windows Mobile 6.5 will be on the Touch Pro2.
More details to come as we get them!

You may know Emgeton for its digital music players, but the Czech-based company also makes mobile phones.
Its newest handset is Emgeton Enzo, a 3G candybar that kind of looks like Sony Ericsson’s C902.
Unlike the SE phone, the Enzo doesn’t come with an advanced photo camera.
Instead, it has a Qualcomm / Philips chipset that allows you to use two SIM cards “simultaneously and completely independently of each other”.
Here are most of the features and specs the Emgeton Enzo offers:

Emgeton Enzo should be available starting April (in the Czech Republic, at least), retailing at 7,990 CZK (300 Euros or $388).

Sure, it’s called the Samsung Smooth, but this u350 phone from Samsung certainly looks more angular than curvy. Being a fairly entry-level phone, you can expect to pick this phone up for almost free (after a $50 rebate), most likely with a contract. The device sports a VGA camera, but misses out on popular features such as 3G, memory expansion, and 3G data. Would you actually consider this if you were looking for a secondary phone, or would you skip it totally?

Looks like Nokia 5730, 5330 XpressMusic and 5030 XpressRadio press pack, leaked a few hours ago was legit.
Nokia has indeed announced all 3 handsets mentioned there.
And now, with the official info out there, we can get down to business in telling you all the details about them.
Let’s start with Nokia 5730 XpressMusic.
This handset is the biggest and most high end one of today’s announcement. Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a full fledged smartphone running on Symbian S60 OS. And it’s built on the same template as Nokia E75 QWERTY slider.
Official Nokia 5730 specs include:
Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is tightly integrated with Ovi contacts which allows to see your friends online and check out what music they are listening too.
The handset comes with easy access to other Ovi services, Nokia Music store, N-Gage and also has a good Facebook integration. All these apps/services can be reached directly through the optimized Xpress Music Homescreen.
Nokia 5730 looks like a really interesting device, with one exception. Camera. I can not understand why Nokia insists on putting the old 3.2 megapixel cameras that can only take relatively low res pictures and shoot crappy videos into their music/media phones? What’s so wrong about making a cool media device with good 5 megapixel camera?
But I digress.
Nokia 5730 XpressMusic will start shipping in Q3 2009 at a price of 280 EUR.
Here’s a hands-on video of the new Nokia 5730 XpressMusic handset:

Motorola has certainly been floundering due to the global financial crises of late. That being said, it has still managed to come up with its iDEN phone that has a full QWERTY keyboard. Press release pictures of this phone have conveniently appeared online, so you’ll probably want to take a good look at the device. Specifications are nothing to shout about with a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and of course, iDEN PTT (Push-to-Talk) which is certainly quite fun. Will carriers want to pick up this phone?

For folks looking for a simple, no-fuss (and certainly no-frills) cell phone, the Pantech Breeze C520 that is being offered by AT&T must certainly have made the shortlist, after all, it’s going for $29.99 on contract. If white isn’t your choice of color, at least you’ll have another color option to pick from as a black version will be available. Features of the Breeze will include a VGA camera, video capture capabilities, and EDGE data connectivity.

Solo looks like it wants to be on the map again, and it has just released the Samsung M320. The device is going for free if you agree to a 3-year contract. You can also pick up the phone for $70 with a 1-year contract, or $89 with a prepaid. The Samsung M320 has a VGA camera, 1.9-inch screen, and Bluetooth.

Messaging junkies who are on AT&T’s network will certainly be happy to hear that AT&T will be offering the Samsung Shift and LG Etna sometime in the near future. The Shift is a 2G candybar phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, perfect for those who are addicted to messaging. The Etna on the other hand is a rather low-specification device with EDGE, VGA camera and not much else. Would you consider these phones? Drop us a comment to let us know what you think.
