Remember the Toshiba K01, K02 and L01? They are not authorised yet, but they’ve been showcased during CEATEC 2009 in Japan.

As previously rumored, the Toshiba K01 is a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone with a Brobdingnagian 4.1 WVGA touchscreen designate and a flooded QWERTY keyboard that has a pretty unearthly key arrangement.

The K01 is 15mm fat and it should be declared by Toshiba sometime before the add of 2009. Until that happens, let’s gaming what this good looks like:

    According to European business Inside-Handy.de, the infant Windows Mobile communicator Toshiba TG01, that has been commerce on O2 FRG since the prototypal of July, comes with a virus pre-installed on it’s microSD noesis card.

  • O2 UK may have smartphones like the iPhone 3G S and the Palm Pre, but Orange has got exclusivity on one of the coolest Windows Mobile handsets out there: the Toshiba TG01.

    Orange announced that it will offer the TG01 across the UK starting tomorrow, July 10, for free on select plans.

    Orange’s Toshiba TG01 comes with an 8GB MicroSD card, and it’s pre-loaded with a “GI Joe” trailer, which should make good use of the phone’s 4.1 inch WVGA display and its 1GHz Snapdragon chipset.

    Part of Orange’s Signature Series, Toshiba TG01 features quick links and shortcuts to Orange TV & Video, Orange Maps and Orange World.

    Naturally, the 9.9mm-thin handset also has all those specs that we’ve presented many times until now: HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.2MP autofocus camera and so on.

  • Toshiba TG01 to hit the UK on July 9

    If you’re in the UK, wondering when exactly the thin, high-end Toshiba TG01 will be available, hear this: Toshiba is apparently getting ready to launch the WM 6.1 smartphone next week, on July 9, as it sent out invitations for a special event that will take place on that day.

    Details about the price of Toshiba TG01 for the UK are not known yet. Also, it’s not clear which carrier will offer the handset, but you should know that, in Spain, the TG01 is available via Telefonica, while in Germany it’s exclusively offered by O2 – so O2 UK might get it too.

    The main specs and features of Toshiba TG01 include: a 4.1 inch WVGA touchscreen display, Toshiba’s own 3D User interface, HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.2MP camera and Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon CPU – all in a case that measures only 9.9 millimeters in thickness.

    Next week might also bring details about the availability of the Palm Pre in the UK, so it looks like British mobile users will soon be able to buy two of 2009’s hottest smartphones.

  • Unveiled by Toshiba back in February, the high-end TG01 Windows Mobile smartphone is not yet available for purchase, but it will be starting this summer.

    Today, two giant carriers have announced the upcoming launch of Toshiba TG01: Spain’s Telefónica and Japan’s NTT DoCoMo.

    Both carriers will offer the handset starting June or July, with NTT selling it under the name of docomo PRO series T-01A. 

    The TG01 will come with Windows Mobile 6.1 (upgradeable to 6.5 after this one’s out), a huge 4.1 inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 3D User interface, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3.2MP camera – all powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

    No details yet about the price DoCoMo and Telefónica will ask for the TG01.

    In addition to announcing the Toshiba TG01, NTT DoCoMo and Telefónica said that they intend to collaborate for developing “possible services and applications for open OS handsets.”
